Semi Permanent, New Zealand’s most prestigious, popular and influential creative festival, is
back in Auckland in 2019 to once again pull community together, shape ideas and celebrate
the power of good design to change and influence the world around us.  
 
For 16 years Semi Permanent has brought the best global design talent to local shores to
share thought-provoking, inspirational and often very personal insights about what it means
to practice design at the highest levels. This year’s festival sees an exciting line-up of
accomplished speakers hand-picked to inspire and motivate with their knowledge and
experiences from all areas of design, from art, graphic design and film to music and
photography, and from advertising and illustration to new wave publishing, poetry, product
design and architecture. 
 
Semi Permanent speakers are design leaders, philosophers and change makers. They are
technological wunderkind and life-long innovators with stellar careers and incredible stories
to tell. If they have anything in common, it is that they have never stopped learning, never
stopped dreaming, and never stopped making.  
 
This year, Semi Permanent Auckland will again be held in tandem with the Future of the
Future –  and event specifically tailored to meet the needs and interests of New Zealand
businesses negotiating the fast-paced and fast-changing world of technology and innovation.

Future of the Future is a definitive, highly informed business briefing led by influential
decision makers at the world’s game-changing companies, such as Google, instagram,
Microsoft, Kickstarter, and Airbnb.
